Here at Wax and Lacquer, we are looking for an aesthetician with impeccable communication skills who is confident, reliable, has a great attention to detail, and loves working with people. 

 

Wax and Lacquer offers results oriented services coupled with highly personalized care so that our clients can look and feel their best. 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

Among other things, your responsibilities will include: 

 

• Performing Facials, Chemical Peels, Waxing, Lash Extensions, Lash Lifts, and other services on our clients

• Educating our clients on the best homecare regimen for their skin

• Reception knowledge, Sanitation, and Sale quotas 

• Interacting with clients and clinical staff in a professional manner

• Keeping a professional and polished appearance 

• Being friendly and personable

• Responsible for directing all efforts toward member satisfaction

 

The position requires: 

 

• An esthetics license in Illinois, or testing date for the State Board scheduled

• Comfort in marketing ones services to attract new clients 

• Warm and professional appearance and demeanor

• Positive energy

• Strong attention to detail and follow-through

• Outgoing, go-getter personality

• Ability to communicate with clients in difficult situations

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Excellent time management, organizational, and follow-up skills

• Able to strictly adhere to all CDC safety protocols concerning proper PPE use while at work.

 

The ideal candidate will be: 

 

• Have knowledge of Lash Extension application, Brazilian Waxing and Facials 

• Have knowledge of Skin Script Rx

• Comfortable with full body waxing

• A self-starter who does not require micromanagement

• Comfortable with learning new client management systems

• Basic understanding of technology

• Honest, reliable, responsible, accountable

• Kind, aware of others, and emotionally intelligent

• Passionate about the aesthetics industry and learning

BENEFITS 

 

Experience is a plus, but training will be provided on products, services, and technology used in our practice

Complementary treatments on a monthly basis

Compensation: Base Pay $12-$20/hour 

Supplemental Pay: Commission + Tips

 

This is a part time contract position with flexible hours 9:00AM - 9:00PM hours, Monday - Sunday
